This is a small-group experience led and guided by Pia, your tour operator. This itinerary is specially designed for solo travelers, couples, or small groups of friends looking to spend a long weekend in the mountains. It is ideal for those with little experience in winter sports but who have a good level of physical fitness and want to try activities such as snowshoeing or ski touring at an easy level. 

If you are passionate about nature and eager for new discoveries, and if you prefer to travel in a friendly small group with a family-like atmosphere while avoiding traveling completely alone, this experience is perfect for you!

Tour Plan

1

Day 1: Annecy – Semnoz

  • Meeting Point at Annecy – Place de la Gare. Your arrival in Annecy must be scheduled no later than 4:30 PM.
  •  5:30 PM: Departure for Semnoz, where we will meet our guide for a 45-minute to 1-hour nighttime hike with on fire torchlights through nature to our Eco camp.
  • Apéritif around the fire, followed by a traditional Savoyard dinner.
  • Musical evening by the fire, with toasted marshmallows.
  • Unique overnight stay in a snow igloo or a panoramic tent (all equipment included).

Day 2: Semnoz - Passy

  • Generous breakfast at the eco campsite.
  • 9:30 AM  Departure to Passy Plaine Joux for a half-day ski touring experience.  The route will depend on snow conditions:  We Start from Plaine Joux and descend towards Lac vert via the Châtelet d’Ayères route  Continues towards the magnificent views of the Mont blanc and descends from the blue slope.Optional adrenaline rush: End your morning with a paragliding jump (available for an additional fee).  Level: Medium Level (possible for beginners) Elevation gain: 200 m Total distance: 4 km (roundtrip)
  •  Afternoon check-in at our apartments in Passy with breathtaking Mont Blanc views with time to relax and refresh.
  • 5 pm - Sunset Artistic Session, on a terrace overlooking the Arve Valley and facing Mont Blanc. We will gather around a fire brazier, where each participant will receive a 20x30 cm canvas, brushes, acrylic paints, colored pencils, and other art materials will be provided, allowing you to capture the beauty of the mountains in your unique artwork with a glass of local wine or hot chocolate.
  • Dinner at Nathalie’s place a very cozy and warm local pizzeria in Plateau d’Assy.

Day 3: Passy – Sallanches – Saint Gervais/Le Fayet – Chamonix

  • Breakfast served at the apartment.
  • Morning stroll through the Sallanches market to explore local flavors and specialties.  
  • Head to the mountains for a 2-hour snowshoe hike to a high-altitude refuge in the highlands of Sallanches for a traditional Savoyard lunch, followed by a sled descent along the trail for a fun-filled ride back down. Level: Medium Distance: 3.5 km Elevation gain:424m   
  • Late afternoon happy hour relaxation at the Saint-Gervais Thermal Baths with spa, jacuzzi, and sauna.
  • Evening free time to explore Chamonix

Day 4: Passy – Annecy

  • Breakfast served at the apartment.  
  • Morning walk to the Ugine River throught the forest exploring its natural pools, with  1-hour guided yoga session in the heart of nature, led by Linda Crivelli for a moment of relaxation and mindfulness.  
  • Transfer to Annecy train station with estimated drop off at 1:30 pm.

Included in the trip cost is a €10 donation per participant to the Solid ‘Air en Montagne association, which aims to make mountain sports accessible to all and promotes the inclusion of people with disabilities.

  • Travel or activity insurance.  
  • Paragliding activity (optional – ask for the price if interested). 
  • Alcohol consumption during meals, unless specified in the program.

Registration policy:

  • Registration will not be considered or confirmed unless you pay a DEPOSIT of at least 50% of the total amount.  
  • The remaining 50% must be paid 2 weeks before the trip. 
  • Send a copy of your ID card or passport.

Cancellation policy:

  • If you cancel your registration 31 days or more before the scheduled travel date, the full amount of your deposit will be refunded.  
  • If you cancel your registration between 30 and 16 days before the scheduled travel date, 50% of the deposit will not be refunded.  
  • If you cancel 15 days or less before the scheduled travel date, no refund will be issued (subject to case-by-case review).

What to bring?

  • Warm and comfortable winter clothing (layering recommended: thermal base layers, fleece, waterproof jacket, and insulated pants).  
  • Waterproof hiking boots suitable for snow.  
  • Gloves, hat, and scarf (essential for cold weather).  
  • Sunglasses and sunscreen (high UV exposure in the mountains).  
  • Headlamp or flashlight (for nighttime activities).  
  • Reusable water bottle (stay hydrated).  
  • Small backpack (for daily essentials).  
  • Personal toiletries & towel (for accommodations and thermal baths).  
  • Swimwear and flip-flops (for the Saint-Gervais Thermal Baths).  
  • Personal snacks (optional but recommended).  
  • Cash or card (for personal expenses and optional activities).

Anything to be planned or prepared in advance?

  • Physical fitness: Be ready for moderate physical activities like snowshoeing and ski touring.  
  • Arrival & Departure: Your arrival and departure will be from Annecy train station. You can travel by train, bus, or carpooling. From Annecy, you will be fully taken care of throughout the trip until your return.  
  • Travel/Activity Insurance: Consider taking out insurance to cover any unexpected events or accidents related to your trip.
